SMS Consultants designed and delivered a training programme for the EIT Regional Innovation Scheme Programme, focusing on local project development. The main aim was to prepare innovators from regions within RIS Programme for the 2019 innovation call for projects. We providing training support and specific feedback to develop high quality, solid and balanced projects targeting the six focus areas of EIT Health.
Following on from our participation in the successful pilot programme for the implementation of Lean Principles in Pig Meat Production in 2018, we were successful in our tender for the wider roll out the programme in 2019. The objective of the programme is to support the adoption of the principles of Lean manufacturing to achieve operational and efficiency improvements at pig producer farm level.

SMS Consultants developed a commercialisation business plan for Way To B, a multi award winning spin out company from TCD. We have also completed a feasibility study for a new Organisational Transformation support solution on behalf of the Learnovate Centre at TCD.
SMS Consultants was retained by the RCSI Office of Research and Innovation to complete a feasibility study on the Verti-Genius innovation for the treatment of Vertigo. The resulting study was used to support a successful application for a commercialisation grant from Enterprise Ireland.
Annually since 2016 we have been privileged to work with selected participants on the New Frontiers Programme on behalf of AIT to assist these participants to develop and refine their commercialisation strategies.
An initial consulting appointment led to SMS Principal John Hearns being appointed CEO of this U.K. based start-up. John led this operation through two funding rounds (£1.2m), the launch of two products and the negotiation of a partnership agreement with a UK Public Authority. The business was the first company awarded a place on the Cisco backed Mi-IDEA post accelerator in Manchester, it also exhibited to international media reviews at CES Las Vegas in 2014.
SMS Consultants have been providing Commercial and Operations management support to Nudest Foods since 2017 and have been delighted to assist the business from commercial launch to on going commercial roll out in Ireland and export markets.
After many years in the Irish market Oishii Foods approached SMS Consultants to review the operational and sales management structures within its van sales division. SMS are pleased to have been assisting Oishii on an ongoing basis to significantly drive its top line sales performance and bottom line profitability since May 2018.
